“We are who we are because of where we come from”
Hi, I’m Jeff, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) I like helping people get themselves unstuck. Unstuck from jobs, relationships, and situations that no longer bring them joy. I don’t enjoy telling clients what to do, rather I enjoy listening to you and then presenting options for how you can change yourself, your situation, or how you think and feel about things that no longer bring you joy.
Jeff has 15 years of experience as a helping professional in many different areas of social work. He received his BA in Sociology in 2009 from Columbia University and his Masters of Social Work in 2016 from Portland State University. He has experience working with children, youth and families in disability services, juvenile detention, primary care, HIV services, schools, homelessness, collegiate sports coaching/psychology and substance abuse.

Specialities
As a therapist, Jeff relies on many different approaches but most of all they are client centered, attachment based, and solution-focused interventions to help clients gain a greater understanding of the strengths and struggles that have brought them to where they presently find themselves. He truly believes they are the expert of their own lives and his role is to help them recognize patterns and gain insights. Armed with greater self-knowledge, Jeff helps them to strengthen their relationship with themselves through mindfulness practices, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral approaches to empower them to improve their life in whatever way is most meaningful to them.
Outside the office; Jeff is a husband, father and constant limit pusher who loves to ask himself “can I do that?” He enjoys pushing himself to grow in physical endeavors as well as emotionally.
